Remote Access Controller
The Remote Access Controller (RAC) operates a special access point, such as an elevator, parking entrance or any other door requiring an electric strike or electro-magnetic lock. Magstripe readers (insert or swipe) and contactless readers (for
790) are available.
The controller box is concealed in a utility space behind a wall or ceiling, with a key-locked cover to prevent tampering. The card reader, connected to the controller box, is mounted in a convenient location, such as within a driver’s reach at the entrance to a garage or beside an elevator call button. When a user swipes their card in the reader, the controller (programmed with user access information for the entire hotel) grants or denies access according to their privileges.
The RAC is available in 2 packages the RAC 4 (a low cost, simple solution) and the RAC 4XT (an extendable total access control solution)
